The Cadillac CT4-V and CT5-V, two famous models familiar to car fans, received incredible new versions called the Blackwing. As you probably know, two years ago, the CT4-V and CT5-V sedans greatly disappointed fans of the powerful Cadillac V-series. The previous ATS-V and CTS-V models had really powerful engines and “crazy” characters, but their successors proved to be much more calm and compliant. And only now Cadillac has prepared a worthy replacement for the former super sedans. The extreme models of the СТ4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing were introduced. Both versions are designed with the same cannons and appliances as the previous generation V-sedans. As the manufacturer and Cadillac dealerships say the Blackwing has limited availability on the car market.
The mid-sized Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing is powered by a V6 3.6 twin-turbo engine with new low-inertia turbochargers, a different intake system and a different control unit. Compared to the ATS-V model, the power increased from 470 to 479 hp. although the torque was the same as before (603 Nm). The larger Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is powered by the Corvette V8 6.2 compressor engine. A refined 1.7 litre Eaton supercharger and titanium intake valves were also added. Both super-sedans have a Tremec six-speed manual transmission as base equipment. At an additional cost, you can get a ten-speed automatic transmission with magnesium paddles on the steering wheel. Like its predecessors, the new sedans have rear-wheel drive with electronically controlled differential lock.
